Our Mission
PeaceWork provides abused, neglected, and homeless children with the tools to create art within a safe and nurturing environment. Their artistic creations are then beautifully framed and displayed in public venues.
A child's self-esteem and creativity grow while a powerful healing process begins. PeaceWork volunteers accomplish this mission by partnering with homeless shelters and other nonprofit organizations in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
A Brief History
PeaceWork, Ltd. was founded in 1995 by a group of women who understood that art and children are a magical combination and that allowing children to CREATE can be incredibly healing. To follow through by presenting the children’s artistic expressions transforms lives.
As a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization composed of hard working volunteers, Peace Work welcomes gifts of time, talent and materials as well as monetary contributions. If you are an artist, art teacher, or just love children, please consider joining us for a special project. We are always seeking creative helping hands! Art supplies of all kinds are needed.
Remember all contributions are tax-deductible. Give a child a gift of yourself today and you may change all of his or her tomorrow.
PeaceWork will hold a mirror before each child and say, “Do you want to see a true work of art? Take a look.

A child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.
PeaceWork will hold a mirror before each child and say, “Do you want to see a true work of art? Take a look."
